About the 1769-IT6
The 1769-IT6 is used with Allen Bradley’s MicroLogix 1500 and 1769 CompactLogix family of controllers. This module support Six (6) Thermocouple or milivolt signal measurements. It converts Analog signal to digital values and stores the data to the module’s data table to be accessed by the processor. The module supports up to Six (6) devices. Each channel is individually configured and supports multiple types of Thermocouple. Supported Thermocouple types are J, K, T, E, R, N, S, B, N, C and CJC sensor. The module also accepts +/- 50mV and +/-10mv with operating range of -50 to +50mV and -10 to +10mV respectively. Individual channels are capable of sensing open circuit, short-circuit and over and under-range sensor detection. These features are automatically activated once the channel is enabled. Input filters can also be individually configured with selections varying from 10 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz and 1 kHz. For direct resistance measurement, the module supports 150 ?, 500 ?, 1000 ?, 3000 ?. Direct milivolt input shall follow the operating voltage range. The module is shipped with a removable terminal block. Attach with the terminal blocks are Cold Junction Compensation (CJC) sensors to ensure accurate readings from each channel. Channels are wired as differential inputs. The module receives 5VDV and 24VDC power from the bus interface. The module initially does not display an indication until it finishes internal memory check and memory functions. If no error is detected, the module status indicator is switched on.
