About the 1769-OF2
The 1769-OF2 is used with Allen Bradley’s MicroLOgix 1500 and 1769 CompactLogix family of controllers. This module has Two (2) single-ended output channels configurable for 0-20mA, 4-20 mA, ±10V dc, 0 to 10V dc, 0 to 5V dc, 1 to 5Vdc. Analog outputs drive modulating actuators and devices allowing multiple points and control with increased precision. The module has an Digital to Analog converter (DAC) circuit that converts the stored digital data from the CPU to analog signal to be put on each of the output channels. Configure the module using RSLogix500 when used with a MicroLogix500. When using CompactLogix processor, configure the module using RSLogix5000 or Studio5000 programming software. Individual channel configuration can be performed in the software including enabling of channels, output range selection, data format, module inhibition, module description and slot assignment. The module generates a unique data table for each instance of installation where the channel addresses, module mode bits, module state and other runtime parameters can be accessed. Install as many 1769-OF2 as required with reference to the power supply distance rating of 8 modules. More advanced CompactLogix processor may support more than 16-30 module in the local chassis. Should more than 8 instances of 1769-OF2 is needed, an appropriate system or bank power supply is required. The module can be inserted to any adjacent I/O module including the controller in the chassis. Install the module by locating the guide slots of the adjacent module. Slide the module and establish alignment of the bus connectors. Once bus connectors are aligned, move the bus lever to the left until a clicking sound is created.
